Fresh and excellent – Coffee & Co.

Who wouldn't want to enjoy specialty coffee served to their table, and an amazing pastry in a cosy setting, in good company?

Coffee & Co., the best café of the Baltic Sea, has been sailing on Silja Serenade for a year. The Megastar’s customers will also be able to enjoy the flavours and atmosphere of the best café of the Baltic Sea. Marja Kokko, the head waiter of Silja Serenade, did reveal one disappointment regarding Coffee & Co.
We should’ve made it bigger! Good coffee, fresh savoury and sweet snacks served to tables have really made the passengers want to come to this café.

Our goal is to be the best café of the Baltic Sea, and I think we are. We’ve put a lot of work into product quality, and based on customer feedback and the amount of visitors, it’s been worth it.

Service and the best coffee

Segafredo’s coffee beans are being ground at the café at a steady pace. Everything is ready to make espresso, latter or cappuccino at a smooth pace. The wait staff take the freshly-made coffees and teas to the tables, along with the sweet or savoury treats that the customers have ordered.
Our cold kitchen chef always puts a finishing touch on everything we offer. He also bakes buns and croissants throughout the day, whenever required, so that people can always buy fresh stuff.

Delicious toast for breakfast

Coffee & Co’s most popular food item is shrimp bread. It’s a meal in itself, and it’s often ordered by two-three people to share.
During breakfast hours, we mostly sell toasts. A well-toasted and filling toast with specialty coffee are enough for breakfast for many people. During the day, pastries are a very popular choice with a coffee. The raw cake baked here has become increasingly popular.

In case you want to take something from the café and enjoy it in your cabin, for example, the takeaway-shelf has fresh buns and other nibbles and drinks that you can grab with you quickly.
Yes, Coffee & Co. is definitely the best café of the Baltic Sea. Enjoying a cup of coffee while looking at the Baltic Sea is something that even the best trendy cafés cannot offer. The Megastar’s café will definitely become very popular too, Marja estimated.

Working long hours at the terminal in Tallinn

The Passenger Terminal D, which Tallink uses at the Port of Tallinn, has been in the middle of renovations since last summer. Originally designed for approximately three million annual passengers, the terminal is currently used by double the amount of passengers, so an extension is necessary. Additionally, all forecasts predict that passenger volumes will continue to grow, particularly as the Megastar will start traffic in late January. Read more »

The sea-loving intendant of the Megastar – Üllar Märtin

At the agreed time, the cheerful intendant shakes my hand at the Superstar's information desk. His smile doesn't falter even when considering the upcoming two-month stint of constant extra work. Nor even when there are 19 – 22 m/s winds outside, which means that he has to make decisions regarding shop arrangements, for example. Read more »
